Dion Lee pops up

Photo’s: Patrick Mcgreal for StyleMeRomy

I bought the perfect Dion Lee blue shirt

Dion Lee is not a great shop assistant but he assures me he’s enlisted a team of staff and friends to man his new pop up store at 2A, 2-16 Glenmore Rd, Paddington. Lee, currently Australia’s most sought after designers gave me a guided tour of all the current collections he will finally have under one roof. Enjoy the show..

Designer Films

Arabella Ramsay is another fashion designer to add film as a medium to show off their collections, Romance Was Born too aired their film in Newtown last night. Arabella chose the calming Otway Forest, Apollo Bay, Victoria, to really bring her AW10 Nomadic Intellect range to life.

We asked Arabella what key trend she’ll be wearing this cold Winter?

Fur, layering and one of my leather bombers

What can’t you start the day without? Porridge and good cup of tea.

Fashion Flake

Finally a time when chocolate and fashion do collide, well, for advertising purposes anyway. Director Baillie Walsh wowed fashion’s elite in 2006 with his Kate Moss hologram at Alexander Mcqueen’s autumn/winter show, and now he’s transformed a chocolate add into something of an art installation. Does it tempt you to buy a Flake or a beautiful Couture gown though?? Food for thought.

La Cav Du Bon

Selection of bags available at The New Guard

Stylist-turned-designer Lisa Good popped over this morning to show Romy and I her range of super-soft leather bags from label La Cav Du Bon.  Lisa, fresh off touring with George Michael and KYLIE as head of wardrobe, drew inspiration from her time on the road and designed five styles of all-black leather bags. We love the leather braiding, plaiting and rabbit fur trim! Bags start at $379. Available from The New Guard 08357 9887, Thenewguard.com.au
