Backstage with sass & bide

Why London Fashion Week? It’s back to their roots for designer’s sass & bide. sass & bide was born in London 11 years ago at Portobello Markets. The girls love the energy in London and always feel a strong connection to the city. Below their SS11 ‘PAPA SUCRE’ collection.

One half of the design team: Heidi Middleton backstage.

I never quite knew where the name ‘sass & bide’ came from so I asked the girls. “Sarah-Jane is sass, a reflection of her personal style & personality and Heid is bide… Heidi Bidey…. bide.”

The girls fave look.

Drink Draping

It felt like life under the Big Top this week. My friend Monica Edwards should be a full time interior stylist (she’s a mum instead) after this effort of 3,000 scarves bought and donated by friends and family sewn together to house a party in their garden, it was a magnificent event.

Oh and Ruby Rose rocked the house

Camel Tone Beauty

Hair: Michael Brennan Makeup: Victoria Baron Model: Alys from Chic wears Prada top
Shot at s2 studios

Vic Barron’s Beauty note: The makeup was all about contouring in the colour palette of camel. Highlighting her features with a tone of rusty tan. For flawless milky alabaster skin I lathered her in ELLIS FAAS Skin Veil Foundation and used eye shadow E207 over the lid and brushing the excess of the colour under the bottom lash line. I curled lashes to open the eye but no mascara.

Michael Brennan’s Hair note: I used ghd ultimate hairspray with ghd sea spray for the best dry texture hold for matte waves.
